How To Make Egg Fried Rice
Soft and fragrant egg fried rice is loved by many. It is a filling meal to take on the go and a satisfying dinner after a hard day's work. When you make this dish at home, you will be reminded of the good old days when you had delicious meals with your family and gathered with friends over fried rice. How to Make Egg Fried Rice
Ingredients:
- Rice
- Egg
- Garlic
- Shallot
- Scallion
- Soy sauce
How to make:
First, heat 1 ½ tablespoons of oil in a wok or frying pan over high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of minced garlic. Fry for about 30 to 40 seconds.
After that, add 3 to 4 tablespoons scallions & fry for a minute.
(Opsional) Then, add half a cup of shredded carrots, bell peppers, and cabbage. Saute on high heat for 2 minutes. We don't want the vegetables to become mushy because they need to be crispy so don't overcook them.
After that, beat 2 eggs in a bowl until frothy. Reduce the heat and pour the eggs into the pan. Stir and cook over medium heat. If the pan is too dry, you can add more oil.
When the eggs are almost cooked, sprinkle 2 to 3 pinches of salt. Don't use too much at this stage because the sauce is already salty.
Then, increase the temperature and pour in 1 to 1 ½ tablespoons of soy sauce into the hot pan. You can also add other hot sauces if you like. When the sauce hits the hot pan, it sizzles and gives off a wonderful aroma.
After that, add rice, and 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil if needed. Increase the heat to high and saute for about 2 to 3 minutes. You can add more salt, and sauce to taste.
